Ini baru Thrill

Mengharapkan takda hantu kat depan mata masa tersedar dari tidur..sangatlah hampeh. itu menandakan aku sedikit 'segan' dengan hantu dan cerita-cerita seram. hehe. kemudian mengharapkan matahari cepat kluar...mengharapkan subuh cepat hadir...bukan apa..sebab takut..macam-macam dok pikir. asal bunyi orang jalan jer..sure panik. terus tutup muka dengan sleeping bag. mungkin ada orang bangun pegi buang air...amik wuduk..takpun memang hantu..tapi rasanya orang bangun sebab pelita dah mati. memang syok tidur dalam hutan...sejuk..nyaman....tidur berlangitkan bintang...yang selama ni tidur berlangitkan kipas jenana 'KDK'. tapi bila dah cerah sikit.fuhhh..legaaaaaaaa....ahhaha. tapi rasa takut tuu yang buat lagi thrill sbnornya. macam zaman skolah dulu...kalo stakat ponteng prep petang tapi warden tak dtg check..aper barang..kalo warden datang check..pastu nyorok dalam loker...fuh..time warden masuk dorm..giler bdebar..berpeluh...ini baru thrill :) -mentang2 da balik umah..sembang lebat!

Waiting for next trip. hopefully can join and well prepared!

Tengah2 dok tulis..jeng jeng jeng..datang ahli-ahli pest control. skali aku tfikir, kalau aku di tempat diorang..ksian gak aku tengok diorang. mungkin luaran nampak susah..tapi hati bahagia. sebab tu kita masa skolah kena blajar btol-btol. bior SPM dapat gred bagus. biar dapat amik Diploma..biar dapat amik Ijazah. biar dapat balas budi parent..adik bradik. alhamdulillah aku bsyukur dengan apa yang aku ada. ni penangan ceramah agama pagi tadi laa ni walaupun aku sibuk baca pasal arwah Yasmin Ahmad kat internet..tapi masuk gak laa input skit-skit.hehhe.

Alfatihah to Yasmin Ahmad.

Kalau ramai yang cakap citer Sepet tu rare..tapi bagi aku citer 'Cinta' tu lagi rare. Khabis Bhatia pneyr citer. plot Rahim Razali & Fatimah tu paling best!

Tringin nak pegi Bukit Tabur. amik gambar cam best jek. kena usahakan neh!

Kutner Died

Did you guys watch the latest episode of House? Kutner died. suicide. what a sad ending for Kutner. there is a song at the end of the episode..really sad..song...emotional...the song from Pete Yorn - Lose You.

"Lose You"

I’m taking a ride off to one side
It is a personal thing.
Where?
When I can’t stand
Up in this cage I’m not regretting.

I don’t need a better thing,
I’d settle for less,
It’s another thing for me,
I just have to wander through this world
Alone.

Stop before you fall
Into the hole that I have dug here,
Rest even as you
Are starting to feel the way I used to,
I don’t need a better thing
(Just to sound confused)
Don’t talk about everyone,
I am not amused by you.

I’m gonna lose you,
Yeah I’m gonna lose you
If I’m gonna lose you,

I’m gonna lose you,
Yeah I’m gonna lose you
If I’m gonna lose you
I’ll lose you now for good

Jom tido

Hari ini teramatlah mengantuk..mengalahkan orang solat tahajud tengah-tengah malam. rasa cam dah tido awal, tp mungkin sbb penat main bola petang smalam kots. giler ngantuk. harus di cari port baekkk...baring dan tidorrr. kalao dapat stengah jom pun jadiklah. dapat ilang. ngantuk memang takda ubat..slain dari tidor. telan laa kopi banyak mana pun kalo dah ngantuk...ngantuk jugee jadinya. Nyesal laa plak smlm main bola bsungguh sangat. letih jadiknya.

Konpem BN leh menang. tapi kita kena tengok dalam hal janji manis ni sape yg sengal. agak-agak laa, macam laa orang Manek Urai tak skolah. Ini ape daa janji nak buat jambatan laa...jadi kampung angkat lah. bagi laa kete Viva sbijik sorang kat penduduk Manek Urai. Kalo baut camni..memang sah...jelas dan tepat..bukan stakat Manek Urai diorang leh dapat, satu negeri diorang boley sapu. hahhaa..tapi pastu konpem tool naik..minyak naik..gula naik..

Tomyam And Theocracy

By Amir Muhammad

I RECENTLY attended a ‘live’ talk by Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, even though there was no byelection in sight. It was on a Kota Baru street on a Friday morning.

He spoke for almost an hour but thousands of people stayed put. It’s a weekly ritual known as sekolah atas tembok, which in this context translates to mean ‘school on the street’ rather than ‘school on a concrete wall’. He didn’t have to raise his voice;

the 78-year-old is a skilled orator who makes people want to stay quieter in case they miss something.

He made them laugh, make them nod and kept them keen. I initially thought this book was a collection of speeches by the Pas Spiritual Adviser and Kelantan Menteri Besar, but it’s rather different. His actual words consist mainly of 29 things that he has said.

Each saying is then placed at the beginning of each chapter as an aphorism; a well of wisdom, as it were, which the editor then draws upon. Some of the homely wit then becomes dissipated in favour of literal explication.

His gift is his ability to talk about politics and religion (and he belongs firmly in the camp of those who do not ostensibly separate between the two) in images that are rooted in everyday lived experience. Take this: “When our wife cooks tomyam, she doesn’t create the salt, carrot, chicken, or water; she merely arranges these existing ingredients into a pot.”
This isn’t some sexist attempt to discredit the poor woman’s cooking. It relates to how people must always be conscious that everything around us is on loan from the Creator. And so tomyam gets placed in its theocratic context.

There are few politicians who’ve had not only the Tok Guru’s staying power but enduring appeal. (Take a look at the upper echelons of, say, the MIC, to see that ‘staying power’ and ‘enduring appeal’ don’t always go together).

Although he might shun such a comparison to a Shi’ite leader, the prevalence of his pictures in Kelantan shops and houses can only be compared to how Khomeini was once used as an emblem of resistance.

The only quote from Nik Aziz that doesn’t get extra explication here starts with: “I am scared of worldly titles like Yang Amat Berhormat (Most Honourable), because in the Afterlife, it might become the reverse.” Another example is Yang Amat Arif (The Most Learned) becoming Yang Amat Bebal (The Most Stupid).

Speaking of “worldly titles”: his humble lifestyle is a big reason for his popularity, but there’s something more. Anyone who has been to a boarding school can see how Kelantan Malay guys would always band together and create almost an autonomous entity.

It’s not for nothing that the only local film title of recent years to actually reference a State happens to be Budak Kelantan – and this is a State with no cinemas! This desire to be seen as different also extends to politics. Be that as it may, an interesting creative tension emerges when you realise that, in his speeches and this book, Nik Aziz rejects the idea of communal separation on the basis of ethnicity or locality.

Ketuanan Melayu (Malay supremacy), for example, is an assabiyah (tribalist) concept, and contemptible because of that. What I mean by creative tension is that this universality is consciously articulated in a vernacular that is local (Kelantanese) and proudly so.

This isn’t hypocrisy but what the sociologists among us would call “local genius”. More than any other Pas leader at present (the only contender would have been the late Fadzil Noor and, further back in its illustrious past, the more towering figure of Burhanuddin al-Helmy), Nik Aziz has never seemed to be a mere politician, but the embodiment of a certain hope, a certain dignity.

That’s why politicians from the other side of the fence who go and promise to bless the State with “development” seem hilariously off the mark. People there already feel quite blessed, thank you very much!

Garmin Nuvi 255W

Nuvim_std

Trial Run: nüvi 255W

DESIGN
At 141.6 g and measuring 98 mm x 74.4 mm x 19.5 mm, the nüvi 255W is light and fits into your pocket. With its rechargeable lithium-ion battery you get up to four hours of battery life. You can use it anywhere you can get a satellite signal. It’s sleek, clean design does away with distracting buttons, allowing you to focus on the 4.3 in. widescreen, which is big enough to see clearly while driving.

INTERFACE

The touchscreen is responsive. Tapping out addresses on the QWERTY touchpad a little slow-going at first but you get the hang of it after a few tries. The device can be stubborn when you search for an address, so try a few different formats. Unlike other touchscreen devices, the keys are large enough to avoid making mistakes when spelling-out destinations.

USER-FRIENDLINESS

For people with no experience with touchscreen technology, the nüvi is easy to figure out. We didn’t even have to crack out the user manual to figure it out. A nifty feature of the nüvi 255W is the list of points of interest such as food, fuel, lodging, bank/ATM, parking and attractions. The Photo Navigation feature that allows you to upload photos (geotags) to the nüvi to help you navigate, but this feature doesn’t seem particularly useful. However, we do like that the nuvi can be switched on and off easily with a quick flick of the slider switch.

CONNECTIVITY
It’s freaking fast! Once you’re outdoors the nüvi 255W locks on to a satellite almost immediately.

MAPS
The turn-by-turn voice instructions were loud enough and the routes were clear. The best feature was the 3D rendered junction view that makes unfamiliar intersections and exits a snap to navigate. However, the map isn’t always up-to-date and you’ll still have to make your own decisions. But if you’ve made a mistake, the nüvi will recalculate the route within few seconds.

If you’re unfamiliar with KL roads, the nüvi 255W is a great time-saver. To find out more, log on to www.malaysiagarmingps.com.my
